Typical Procedure for Estate Planning Clients
Initial consultations for estate planning take within 60-90 minutes and are complimentary. During your initial estate planning meeting, I will learn about your unique circumstances and objectives. After we have discussed and agreed upon how best to meet your goals and needs, I will quote you a flat fee. After your initial meeting, I will provide you with a list of additional information to be provided or decisions to be made. We will typically schedule a conference call to review the supplemental information you have provided. Thereafter, I will provide drafts of the documents for your review. We will schedule a final meeting during which I will more fully explain the documents to you and you will sign them.
Laws change and your personal situation may change. Thus, I recommend that you review your estate documents every 2-5 years and whenever there are major life changes, such as births, deaths, retirement, and substantial changes in assets.
Typical Procedure for Probate Clients
During your initial meeting, we will discuss the tasks that a personal representative is responsible for and outline next steps, including inventorying probate assets and liabilities. I will often refer you to an accountant. The first 30 minutes of phone or in person conversations are complimentary. I bill on an hourly basis.

During your initial meeting we discuss the tasks that a Trustee is responsible for and I will explain the directives in the trust. I will outline next steps and will often suggest that you work with an accountant. The first 30 minutes of phone or in person conversations are complimentary. I bill on an hourly basis.
