Will-Based Planning

A will contains a set of instructions directing the distribution of your assets upon your death. However, a solid will-based estate plan addresses other concerns as well. Chief among these for a young family is the appointment of a guardian. And for all of us, it is essential to have in place a Power of Attorney: Healthcare and Financial, a HIPAA Release, and an Advance Medical Directive/Living Will. Other beneficial companions to a will include a Personal Property Memorandum and a Final Arrangements Directive.
